Veteran's Segment

WVOX "Good Morning Westchester" host  Bob Marrone and
Ken Kraetzer of the Sons of the American Legion conduct a ten
minute "Veteran's Segment" every Friday morning at 8:35 AM.

Guests range from local veterans, military historians, leaders of
veterans support organizations to Members of Congress.

Today's guests were members of the Girl Scouts from
Westchester and their moms who helped organize
"Operation Cookie Drive" which resulted in 40,000 boxes of
cookies to be sent in June to American soldiers and sailors
stationed in the Middle East.

The special guests were:
Claudia Heery and daughter Bridgett from Hartsdale
Susan Landon with daughter Abbey from Briarcliff
Alison Bergman w daughter Betsy from Ardsley,
Susan Dishart, VP of Girl Scouts, Heart of the Hudson

Col. Roland Tiso, a native of Pelham
and thirty year veteran of the US Army
was interviewed with the Girl Scout
delegation listening in and describing
the "Cookie Drive" project.  Col. Tiso is
a cicilian analyst working at US Central
Command in Tampa, FL.    He is
expecting to soon publish a book
describing his military experiences. Col.
Tiso is pictured here delivering the
