The US Army conducted a Freedom Team Salute Ceremony at Shea Stadium as part of
the American Legion Post 50 outing on Sunday September 7, 2008. Honored were US
Army veterans Bob McGuirl and John Dunleavy of Post 50 and Lauretta Barnaskey,
President of the American Legion Auxiliary. Also recognized was Vietnam veteran
Robert Dupay, the President and Chief Operating Officer of Major League Baseball.
Participating US Army officials were SGM John Strock and SGM Mike Dudley.
