2008 Pelham MIA POW Recognition Day

Pelham Veterans Park
For the second year, Pelham participated in national MIA POW Recognition Day
Ceremony by conducting a candlelight service remembering its twelve residents from
Vietnam and World War II who remain Missing In Action.  

Joining the ceremony was Nick Cristiano, a WWII B29 crew member and six month
Japanese prisoner of war.    
Nick Cristiano, a Japanese POW for six months of WWII attended the ceremony with
Post 50 Commander Frank Barbieri.
