| 2006 American Legion Post 50 SAL 50 Dinner The annual dinner dance of the American Legion Post 50 and Sons of the American Legion honored past Post Commander Michael T. Barrett. The event was held at the Davenport Club in New Rochelle and was attended by about 100 members of Post 50, Sons of the American Legion, and Ladies Auxiliary as well as officials of the Town of Pelham. Master of Ceremonies for the evening was Post Commander Philip A. Perrorazio, the honoree was introduced by past post Commander Joseph Durnin and the invocation was read by Post Chaplin Frank Barbieri. The event included the reading by Jim Morris of the American Legion MIA tribute and the 11th hour ceremony recalling the end of World War I at the 11th hour, of 11th day, of the 11th month in 1918 and the formation of the American Legion soon after. |
